I am reading your book currently. It is an interesting view into the other side of the sport and lifestyle that the spectators never see. It’s mind boggling to see all the pressures to be a world class gymnast and what they can do to someone.
I was also shocked by Don Peters’ treatment of the gymnasts in the 85 Worlds trials. And people thought Bela was the only bad one! I also wondered why Alyssa Solomon didnt get to compete in Goodwill games 86 even though she was fourth in the nationals I believe? And your book says the US was fourth in the Goodwill team, but my video showed the US fifth behind USSR, Bulgaria, China, and Romania. Just wondering!
